Default Did you ever notice?

Did you ever notice how nice the June nighttime sky looks when you're looking up from the driver's seat of your S2000?

Did you ever notice how much better your S2000 seems to run when you're at a meet with other S2000 owners?

Did you ever notice that no matter how hot it gets outside, it's never too hot for a top-down drive?

Did you ever notice how much closer people seem to be following you when you're driving your S?

Did you ever notice how gigantic an SUV is when it's behind you at a stoplight?

Did you ever notice how happy you feel when you drive your S?

Did you ever notice how much you hate the rain?

Did you ever notice that no one who owns an S ever seems to have enough time to drive it all they want or enough money to pamper it all they want?

Did you ever notice how angry you get when someone says, "It's just a car"?

Did you ever notice how angry you get when someone says, "Nice Miata"?

Did you ever notice how angry you get when some say, "It's only a Honda"?

Did you ever notice how much time you spend here partly because these are the only people who understand your passion for the car?

Did you ever notice how your S seems to always need to be washed but your daily driver never needs a bath?

What have you noticed?

I have definitley noticed that every time I drive the S it seems to need washed. I guess its because I care about 10,000 times more about its appearance than my old CR-V which always looks "fine".

As for the never too hot for a top down drive, I'm fair skinned so anything over about 85 degrees and I'd just as soon have the top up and a/c on...lol.

I also notice how defensively I feel the need to drive in S . I feel like nobody can see me from their houseboat sized SUV's and I am super paranoid in parking lots.

Great topic!
Did you ever notice when driving your S ...

... how people are drawn to come over and talk to you at the gas station, some taking pictures?

... how intoxicating the smell of freshly mown mountain grass is?

... how much more brilliantly the birds sing in the mountains?

... how alive you feel winding through mountain passes?

I still remember my first top down drive in my S, and the first time I had been in a top-down car in over 40 years. After a few minutes of drinking in the openness of the view, I noticed the smells of the country side. Some great, like freshly mown fields. Some not so great. But all interesting.

How much I get a kick out of driving 70mph in the rain with the top down and seeing other drivers smile because they think "man that guy is getting wet" while I am 100% dry ... unless I have to stop .. then the top goes up

How nice the top down mod is when in the situation above and having to slow down

How many people think it is the same as a del sol :P

(My wife noticed this one) How many drivers get a big smile on their face when they see it.

Just how many street racers there are out there that think I am going to drag race their moms Volvo S40 because they are revving at me

How much fun a top down drive is ... 50 degrees to 100 degrees. Does not matter to me! (Although if my wife is with me ... it is more like 80-100 degrees)

How virtually un-important the radio is in the S

How much you can really fit in the trunk of a roadster when that is what you are driving somewhere

...how people yell "Nice car" when you drive by. That never happens with the CR-V or the truck.
