The Jaguar F-Type coupe looks fabulous. Car mag reviews have been very positive. Why must it cost so much?

AUTOMOBILE mag/ June issue includes the Jag F-Type V8-S in their 10 car "All Star" drive from Detroit to The Big Easy. As tested price was $100,370....about $8k over the MSRP base. The drivers loved it, but opined that the exhaust note was awesome but it was too heavy.

I'm pretty sure I saw one on the road, but I have not walked around one yet. There's a dealer abut 5 miles away. I should take a look.

I have seen a few of the convertibles in person so far in different colors and they do look great. They sound pretty damn good as well. I have not yet seen a coupe but I would expect it to look just as good if not better.
