I cancelled my subscription on my '09 and the radio still is receiving a signal!

If I get a subscription for the AP-1, I always ask for (and get) the 6 months for $30 deal. I only drive the S's 6 months at the most so that's long enough. Once I updated the audio in the AP-1, I don't need to even get the 6 months because I can stream it from my phone.

I have it in all four vehicles in one form or another.
the older vehicles don't have the traffic reporting enabled whereas the newer ones do which i like.
The vehicle nav utilizes it in route planning. It's not as good as googles but it's integrated and more convenient.
I findthe news feed handy.

The only time I use Sirius is when they send me a free trial, otherwise, I refuse to pay for it. I too have found that their song selection isn't very good, and they tend to repeat the same songs over and over again. I've oftentimes wondered if they do that to save on royalties.

The only good thing that I can say about Sirius is that Cousin Brucie has a show on "60s on 6" I think it's called "Crusin with the Cuz". Having grown up listening to him, I find it to be a little treat. I wish he'd talk less and play more music, but Cousin Brucie was always like that. I can only take him in small doses so the free trails are quite enough for me.

I much prefer to record the doowop, folk and folk-rock that I like onto a memory stick and listen to what I like. Most of my radio time is spent listening to the news.

I have tried the free trials. Was not very impressed. Maybe it is just the music I prefer? Plus, my free Pandora subscription and buttloads of music I own on my phone prevents me from ever needing to listen to the radio. If regular old radio was not just all owned by a few huge conglomerates that play the same, worn out top 40's crap for decades on end, I may listen to that more. But I dont even like 99% of what is on the public radio stations (NPR for example) and am not into radio stations that play every single type of music on one channel either (also NPR) so I just stick to streaming or listening to what I own.

About the same here, I can get two, maybe three stations on a good day and 8-10 miles out of town they are gone. Cell service is about 40-50% between here and the next towns and I will spend a month every year camping where I don’t want any cell service, so Sirius is nice to have, but not as good as it was when I first got it. I remember that you could stay on the same channel for about 6 hours and not hear the same song twice, not it just like regular radio and it’s not long before the same songs are played over.

In about out a month, the SLK will come out of storage and my two subscriptions cost will be changing to a lower amount or I will go to only music and save, or drop one and just use the songs on my phone.

I like Sirius do to the variety of stations and type of music, plus I can get it anywhere in the country. We have it in Patty's CR-V all of the time and in the S 6 months of the year. You just have to play games to get reasonable prices.

Every time I get in the wife's car and I play it (5 or 6) I just shake my head at the never heard of singer/groups and the back-side songs of ones I do know. And then they actually repeat them. Waste of $ IMHO unless I was going to be in the middle of the dessert and didn't have a thumb drive.

Honestly my biggest issue with them is lack of pricing transparency.
it's almost as bad as 3 card monty.
