I'll take the low route.....

And so you know, I CAN'T STAND BEN STILLER

But I found the movie Dodgeball to be very very funny, especially if you watch it all the way to the end of the credits.

I thought "War of the Worlds" was a good movie too. That was another thought provoking movie.
I watched it last night. I preferred the book over the movie, but I might have enjoyed the movie more if Tom Cruise wasn't in it. (I really think he needs to be clubbed like a pinata on fire.) I did think the DTS soundtrack was excellent though. It really gave my subwoofers a work out.

So that's the context in which I found "Revenge of the Sith" to be terribly disappointing.
I agree. I was hoping that the movie would at least be somewhat of an improvement over SW II, but I thought SW III was every bit as bad as its predecessor.

He often said that a person could get rich creating a religion, and he did just that.
According to Cruise, psychiatry is much more outlandish than the belief that all of our problems as human beings stem from evil aliens being bound to active volcanoes to die and their souls inhabiting our bodies. Yep, sounds reasonable to me.

I mostly agree with everyone on War of the Worlds. I found the first half of the movie better than the second half.

SWI, II and III were disappointments.

As far a sequels go, I found Lord of the Rings to be the best.

If anyone one is a Hubbard fan - DON'T RENT BATTLEFIELD EARTH.

You will slowly scoop out your eyes with rusty spoons....

These three movies were an impressive achievement (and they got Peter Jackson enough clout to be able to do a re-re-make of King Kong, yet).

But the LOTR movie trilogy, IMO, relies too much on video-game like action for too much of the time. I'd rather have seen more one-on-one scenes -- more of the Ents, for example. And I think Jackson missed the boat (so to speak) with the ending of the third installment by neglecting the potential of the "Scouring of the Shire" part of the book. The two side-kick Hobbits kicking serious butt would have been lots of fun. HPH
