Had a friend that LOVED this one. As for old movies, the oldest I go with favorites is 2001: A Space Odyssey, which I saw in the theater ~25 times, and have watched it at least 25 more times since.

A lot of this movie was very confusing. But I read the novelization of the story the night before seeing the film for the first time. Last line from the book, referring to astronaut Dave Bowman after his transformation to the "star child"...
"For though he was master of the world, he was not quite sure what to do next. But he would think of something."

It is VERY VERY rare for me to ever watch the same movie twice but I agree on that one, I watch it ever year. Maybe because my parents would never allow me to have a b-b gun. So I always had to use my friend's.

The first time that I saw the movie, I was 13 and left the theater confused as hell, but then again, I went with my parents and they were even more confused. In the next few years I read the original Clarke novel and the "explanation". The sheer spectacle of the movie sucked me in, and that and Star Trek brought about my love of science and scifi.

I loved 2001 years ago. It was on one of the channels last year which I DVR'ed.
I couldn't sit through it. it was long, and dry. maybe i have adult onset ADD.

on my flight to Tuscon I watched The Christopher Robin Winnie the pooh remake.
not bad, rather predictable.

I recently watched a DVD from Netflix, You're Not You. Hillary Swank plays the lead with ALS. Wow, it was good but hard to watch. One of Ricky's relatives by marriage has it and went from being fine to not able to sit or breathe on her own, in the few years since I met her. Watching this makes me wonder how I would handle having ALS. I don't think I'm a fighter.

A really different movie, just saw on Prime, Swiss Army Man. Very strange, I admit, but worth watching. My wife didn't like it, so ladies out there beware.

I went old school the other night and watched The Warriors which was from 1979. Haven’t seen it in over 20 years definitely different times back then !
