They claim we will be all the way up into the 30's here next week lol. With a snowstorm hitting Saturday and another next week. 40 inches of snow since Feb 1 and up until now, mostly single digits and teens for temps.. with some below zero (last Sunday morning was -13). So who knows when it will end!

I am kinda glad for some of it. Finally have had good snowboarding weather, and Bridger MT, where I am boarding this weekend into next week has been colder than normal .. so at least conditions will be good for that! Gotta make that lemonade!!

Spring flooding for some areas here in MN is a big concern though. If we have a fast warmup with all the late snow, some areas near the rivers will be in bad shape. They are projecting worse than 1965 which was really bad. Stillwater MN may have a rough spring for sure, as will the southern parts of the Twin Cities closer to the river flood plains on the Mississippi.

And when the many feet of snow in the Sierras that has fallen recently melt, it is only going to worsen the flooding in those areas in California. Going to be a rough spring for many!

Not exactly the Mardi Gras weather we were hoping for but we still had some fun over in NOLA with some friends, watching the big St. Ann's walking parade. Everyone in the east Quarter and Marigny neighborhoods was in costume, including us.

I do like the four season, I like the change, but if I could have my way Winter would last 2 weeks, we'd have one 12 inch snow storm that would all melt in 2 days, and we'd return to 80*f weather. Under my control Winter would last 2 weeks, we'd have 4 weeks of Spring and Fall, and the rest of the year would be Summer. Sounds delightful, doesn't it?
Yes it does. Our winter wasn't too bad. A few cold days and a 2 inch snowfall. We are in Fla until 4/5 so we're hoping winter is behind us when we return. April can be a challenge but at least it will be spring.

I agree, its has not been bad at all except for the ice patches - in my walkway, driveways, parking lots, etc. I got a new oil painting I want to do; its always easier when its cold out side... so I can wait a couple weeks. Unlike Rob who wants a long summer, I would much rather have a long spring. Three months of June weather would be wonderful.

I'd like about 3 months of the time in spring just before the bugs come out and the pollen is coming off the trees. Like when the crabapple trees are in bloom here.

It’ll be in the 80s this weekend here in Florida.

Good, in northern FL it was in the mid-40s. Just glad I didn't spend $ to sit in the cold.

Hit 40° today and sun was bright. Even with snow all over the yard I was able to walk on it - it had been frozen for days - and picked up some of the larger branches that come down over the winter. Forecast is for 60° next Thursday.... won't stay there but it will be great to see it.

We didn't quite get to 40 today Dave but it was "warm" enough and the ice on the sidewalks has melted so we took a walk. That felt good.
