Does your ISP really provide protection?

I was hitt by the McAfee screwup. It locked my computer up tight. I contacted McAfee and over an hour and a half they were able to fix the problem.
McAfee has vowed to make it right by paying for repairs if needed and extending subscriptions.
While they screwed up they did make it right!!
Matt, contact McAfee and see what the can do for you.

Your best offense is a proper defense. Consider adding in CCcleaner and malwarebytes, Hijack this and Window Washer into your arsenal of daily scans before you shut down your computer daily. If you scan and eliminate most issues before shut down they will not be able to inflict damage upon re-boot where most damage manifest itself.

And they don't call McAfee, McCrappy for nothing there are much more efficient and better programs out there.
I own 6 computers have been online for over 12 years and do to my religious daily scans I happily can say I have never had a single incident as the one this tread is about.
