I guess this works --- I'm also a "half-full" person --- until you really get sick. Then, the real person comes out. I've been through a couple near death surgeries and many deaths in the family --- still fairly positive. FWIW.

One won't know, for sure, how all this works out under the bitter end. Then, it's too late.

^ Maybe I should have said that the half full people handle whatever problems they encounter in a healthier way. You are an example of that, having faced near death experiences and still being positive.

For Engifineer and anyone else taking Prilosec or Omepraxole daily, I would warn you to stop taking it with caution. On doctors suggestion, I stopped taking it cold turkey. About 2 weeks later I thought I was having a heart attack. You have to wean yourself off that stuff. I've been taking it over 10 years and would not do well without it.

Too good not to share....

The Doc appointment last Monday that started this tale also involved a blood test.

Results came back.

I've got Lyme disease too!

Wow! What prompted the doctor to test for Lyme Disease? Did you have some other symptoms that made the doctor suspect that?

What is the course of treatment?

Hope you have a good recovery from everything!

I certainly wont stop taking it (Although it in itself is not good for you at all either.. but neither is chronic heartburn) but per my doctors recommendation, I try to take it a bit sparingly. She told me if I can take it a few days a week and have no heartburn symptoms then to do that. I find that about every other day works. She did mention that it is not really that good for you, but I needed to take it often enough that I never have any heartburn. So balance the drug that can mess you up with the symptom it is trying to cure ... I just love medicine!

^ Yeah, the old "cure is worse than the disease" issue. That also sucks.
