Default Eating healthy

Picking up the grandkids at school today I asked the youngest what he had for lunch? “Sub, same thing I get every single day.” Why’s that? “Because I don’t like to wait in line.”

His older brother said he eats the same thing every day as well! What’s that? “Bowl of cereal before school, then a chocolate granola bar washed down with chocolate milk at school. Followed by nacho’s every day for lunch.”

They always want steak if eating at our house. My son is very in tune with feeding them good food. No idea, what they eat at mom's but she makes great cookies and cake.

I’m surprised that they still can get that kind of stuff at school Dave. A couple of years back they came up with some strict guidelines, federal I believe, as to what they serve at school. I work at a boarding school and they serve three meals a day and it is all healthy stuff. They do offer deserts and homemade cookies and treats here and there but every meal has an assortment of fruits and vegetables and never chips or soda or anything like that.

Similar to what I ate in school. I'm still around at 74 1/2. I have been eating healthier for a number of years but I am not a obsessive rabbit food person. Sensible diet and exercise have been the key. But if I want "bad for you food" and beer that we eat and drink at HH I go for it.

I remember the square pizza canned string beans and peaches from school lunches we had when I was a kid. Kids have it good now where I work today it was chicken piccata or if u are vegan, vegan Stromboli and
steamed kale and spinach Tuscan white beans and three grain brown rice.

We were just talking about poutine the other day I have never had it but it sounds good! The conversation started when someone put mayo on their French fries.
