expelled

So, the tale of the day is that there is a new movie being screened called "Expelled". The movie claims that many proponents of Intelligent Design have been "expelled" from their jobs because of their beliefs.

A biologist and opponent of ID named PZ Myers, who is interviewed in the film and thanked in the credits, was attempting to see a preview showing with some family members and guests. He was recognized by the movie producer and asked to leave the theater before the show started. His family and guests were allowed in.

The kicker is that one of his guests also happened to have been interviewed in the film. He was ... Richard Dawkins.

For those who aren't familiar with the name: Richard Dawkins (my apologies for the source.)

How delightful. We can only hope that this story won't generate too much publicity for that movie. HPH

 They would have been better off had they given Satan himself a free pass.

They probably don't see much of a distinction.

They are clearly attempting the "Passion Of The Christ" marketing strategy -- direct marketing to churches, hoping a mention from the pastor will lead to churchgoers buying tickets.

I saw a wonderful bumper sticker last week in Houston:

"What we need in schools is a moment of Science."

Probably not, but Satan is the nicer guy.
