Default Extended warranty coming in handy!

As I posted the other day, my baby had to be flatbedded back 250 miles from WV last Fri, after a major noise and steering problem up in the mountains. There is some good news, though. The problem is the drive shaft, but it will be fixed probably by Wed, and my extended warranty is covering all but $100 deductible. Cost is expected to be $1200, so I'm happy. I have never made a claim against the warranty (the original warranty paid for my shortblock replacement three years ago), and was wondering if it was worth it. Well, the answer is now "yes"!!

Glad to hear it (on both counts - car will be fixed soon, and the warranty will take care of it).

We missed you though. Without you or Granny to lead, there was no pool party......

Yeah, I was bummed out for awhile about the whole thing. But it all worked out, so I can't complain.

Deb -

To repeat what has already been said, you guys were sorely missed this past weekend. We knew you were there in spirit. Really sorry your driveshaft had to pick last Friday to pack it in. Hope there wasn't any peripheral damage to the tranny or dif. Good to know the extended warranty does what it is supposed to do.

'Til next time

Maybe this should be our excuse to plan an early fall Vintage meet.

My extended wty (7yr/100k/0 DED) also paid for itself a couple times with my '00 Silverstone, and it was transferred to the new owner for 50 bucks.

I need to decide about getting one for the '03 GPW Hmmmm....does it included body work

Car won't be ready quite as soon as expected...part taking a couple of days to arrive. Still hope to have it back before I leave for Scotland Sat.
