Favorite Album Covers

Obviously as recorded music made the transition from vinyl to cd to downloads and streaming, the greatest loss wasn't some mystical sonic loss as analog was overtaken by digital. It was album covers.

What are your favorites? Did you own the album? What did you like about it (or them).

Here are a couple of mine. I did own both albums. I thought Revolver had the best cover of any of the many great Beatles covers. And it was drawn by friend of the band Klaus Voormann.

I love the Breakfast in America cover just because it's clever and funny.

I ditched all my albums when I moved out of my home of 23 years, due to divorce. I had that Breakfast in America album. I saw Supertramp perform that show from the second row in the Los Angeles forum in the late 70s. Best concert I went to. I went with a guy I met who worked at a ticket agency ( hence, the 2nd row seats).

Disraeli Gears. Good tunes, too! Album still stands out in my collection, after all these years.

I'd have to say the most recognizable cover would be Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.
and who didn't have that one?

^I remember it but wasn't a fan. I had a lot of The Cars though.

I was just talking about this over the weekend!

Some album covers I thought were really cool:

Ummagumma - Pink Floyd
Physical Graffiti - Led Zepplin
Led Zepplin 4 - Led Zepplin

A Delaware boy, if I remember correctly.
