My situation…Crows: I’ve learned to enjoy them because of their communication skills. My crows mimicking my crow calls and speech, they leave gifts for me, and fly beside me when on a walk. I feed them peanuts, sunflower seeds, cat nibbles, and drinking/bath water year-round.
On the other side, my crows have chased off most of the other bird species because they’re known as nest robbers and will aggressively defend their self proclaimed territories, which is my yard.
I’m not certain in what to do. I like both scenarios, the crow interactions and enjoyment of the other bird species.
Can there be a blend of both?

After two weeks of being gone I'm sure the feeders are empty and the birds are pissed at me!

The neighbor's cat had a blue jay in it's grasp today. I just happened to look out the window and saw the scuffle. Once I realized what it was, I ran outside. The bird flew away, but if the cat had poked holes in it with it's teeth, I doubt it will live. I would encourage Rick to take out the but that's against the law.

Or in this case, feeding the wrong bird. This owl sat on an egg that was not her own. Cute...
Apparently, wood ducks lay their eggs in different nests to ensure survival. It worked.
