Our second eagle nest has a newly hatched chick (two days old), and the other egg has a crack in it, so chick number two soon to hatch! Mother is sitting on them at the moment, but I saw both while she was feeding the one a bit ago.

I guess you aren't talking about Liberty & Justice ^^, one egg hatched maybe 10 days ago. I don't think the second egg is going to hatch at all now, been too long, but they are still sitting on it, along with the growing chick.
I just realized I have one eagle website on my Ipad and another on my computer.

Yes, I'm not talking about them. We have two pairs in the area. I agree that it looks like their second egg is not going to hatch.

One site is dceaglecam.org and the other is eaglecam.org. Similar names but different birds.

Hungry birds. Filled feeders Thursday AM before work, two of three were empty this AM. The third feeder is outside my kitchen window not as close to trees so it's not the favorite feeder. It did have a little action this AM though. I like seeing the birds up close. I filled the other feeders, hung around outside near a tree for a bit, and got a pic. Not "tack" sharp, but it's OK.

You know how eagles when they are sitting on the nest rearrange the stuff around them. The mother with the older chick is doing that this morning. The funny thing is the chick is poking his head out from underneath and doing the same thing! So cute...
