Wow. What an aweful way to start a new job. But still, great news that you caught this so early. Keep us posted on the recovery.

Trying again tomorrow, for that first day on the new job. Went to the doctor today and said I can go back to work, I can drive again, and they removed the Life Vest. So going to work tomorrow morning.

I'm also now in cardiac rehab. Things are looking up.

Thanks for the comments and concerns.

Best wishes. Glad you're doing well enough to remove the vest.

Interested in hearing how you like your first day. Are you in security there, Tom?

My dad had an heart attack at age 54. He changed his eating habits, kept himself trim and led an active life until he died in his sleep at age 83. It's great that you survived this and with care still can have a long life driving your S2K.

First day went great. I only worked 6.5 hours but that was because I had to go to cardiac rehab, which is also going well. As far as job (if security) it is small minimum correctional center that works on getting inmates ready for release. I'm the Superintendent of the center. Only 25 staff. Last place had 150 staff and one before that even more. I'm planning on working somewhere between 3 to 5 years and then retire.
