Default Four years old today

Can it be 4 years already? Honestly, it still seems like I just got it. It was a day just like today with lots of snow. As part of the purchase agreement the car was flatbeded to my house from the dealership, which was almost 1-1/2 hours away.

I love my Honda S2000 because it's a car that was designed from the ground up for pure driving enjoyment. This Honda will never carry the prestige of small specialty firms like Ferrari, Porsche, or Lotus. It may not get the respect it deserves at the country club but all my serious-car-guy friends give it the highest respect. With the highest output of any normally aspirated production engine in the world, where else would you get that kind of technology for 32 grand? Four years later and the love affair is as hot as ever. It's a keeper, for sure.

Congrats, Dave.

And, may I say for all of us that our S2000 online community is very happy that you bought one.

May your fifth year of ownership be as great as your first, and may there be many, many more.

Dave,

I'm hoping that you get to keep your S for at least as long as you had the original MGA.

Why not. I'll only be 92. Jeez by that time we will both be classics.

All, Thanks for the kind words.

As I'm sure you know, sports cars are my hot button. I sometimes amaze myself at the time and energy I've given this bug. I was painting the inside of my second garage tonight so I could hang 18 Frank Wootton paintings from the 50s on fresh white walls. My wife just shakes her head and says, "Most people just have shelves."

See that, and I thought we were classics already!

Oh, and congrats Jer on 5 years. I wonder how many of the Vints bought and still have their MY00 -- I know of you and Ken, probably Rick too... Have you had a lot of TSB work done over the years? On my '02, I have only had it back for spark plug recall, and I will be asking Honda to fix my left-leg seat bolster (which has crushed down) this spring as the warrantee lapses.
