Default Go-Pro on an S-2000

Hi All,

I am thinking about purchasing my first Go-Pro camera to mount on my S-2000 to record an upcoming road trip with my son (I promised him that he'll get a run on The Dragon!). Has anyone mounted a Go-Pro inside the cockpit to include the tachometer as well as through the windscreen in the frame? I see Modifry has few mounts that look like they would work.

Thanks,

John

Purchase the Black Motrosports edition. Using the suction cup and mount it on the rear quater panel at the hoops to get the tach and front view. Good luck with the purchase. Later BD

Just remember that what you record (i.e. speedometer, tach, steering wheel movement, etc.) could be used as evidence against you.

Many of the guys I autocross with use one of the sticky mounts that come with it and mount it directly to the secret compartment. It is easy to remove with no trace.

Here's what my GoPro Hero 2 catches with the Modifry mount.

Very similar to my setup. I have a Contour Roam2 on a Modifry mount.

Got lucky and caught a sale last month. Picked up the Contour for $99.

Mine is stuck to the secret compartment lid as well, the video is the same as yamahasho apart from I sit on the right.

It has good visibility of the dash and windscreen so an obvious position to mount it

Great laps! What is the gauge on your left windshield frame?

The view is what I want. With the top down, does the wind noise drown out the engine and exhaust notes on the Go-Pro recording?

Cheers!

Thanks. It is a PLX DM-6 gauge currently with air:fuel ratio and will daisy chain an oil temp module into as well.

I haven't used this mount with the top down, however, I have used the camera with the suction cup mounted just behind the soft top and this was the outcome. I'd imagine it wouldn't be much of a noticeable difference if it were mounted like my first video with the top down.

Although you’re a great drivers I noticed a substantial amount of rattling during the recording. Is it anyway related to the location or mounting characteristics of the Modifry mount?
