I think I'm safe.
Home is a quarter mile from the house.
and lainey you've been here.
getting to the street address doesn't help much.

Thanks Lainey, I hadn't thought about it since my GPS is locked and you need either a code to activate it or be in my house when you turn it on.
But even with that safeguard, I think I'll sit in front of another house and redo the code.
Thanks, for the heads up.

I leave my GPS at home where it's safe.

A related question:
Garmin Nuvi GPS units (and presumably other GPS units) have bluetooth capability and when connected via bluetooth to your cell phone, will download your phone list and other contact information from your cell phone. If stolen, will the GPS still have all this contact information available for thieves and potential burglars to look at?

Snopes covered this type situation recently: http://www.snopes.com/crime/intent/gps.asp
If they got into your car, it's likely they would have access minimally to your registration which has your address. If they got your wallet or purse,it's likely your license would be there, again, with your address. The GPS is only going to make it a bit quicker to find the most convenient route to a destinaltion they could find on just about any city map or computer, let alone their own GPS or GPS enabled phone.
