It was wonderful to watch the annual July 4th Boston Pops celebration on the Esplanade.
It celebrates the great traditions which have made this country what it is.
It also recognizes those who have given so much for this country for the last 242 years, to celebrate our differences and our freedoms.
God Bless America and all of those who call it home or wish to.

We actually saw most of the fireworks last night at the Wash Monument. Not as obscured by smoke as the last two years.

as an aside I was glad I didn't pay to see hear the Indigo Girls.
The years have not been kind or they just wore out those pipes.
