ralper, I like that era female vocals. I finally found a fine, noise-free, vintage copy of Linda Ronstadt's "Silk Purse." Original Capitol vinyl. This is a very good album. Recorded with little studio "magic." Almost a live sound to it. Also, collecting old Dusty Springfield albums.

I loved everything Melanie did. Did you know that this song was banned on some stations because of the supposed sexual innuendo? I think this was the only #1 hit she had.
