Nice looking ride.

BTW, what do you use for polish? Zaino Bros? How many coats in that pic?

Other than that everything is stock -- sort of. If you don't count that I had $26K worth of body work as a result of a high speed excursion from a wet track.

The next mod is on order, a GPS-based laptimer and datalogger.
Also on the list to get soon is a removable trailer hitch, for pulling a tire trailer.
Mike,

I'd be interested in seeing your brake ducts. Have you got any pics?

Mine is BONE stock. Except for the K&N air cleaner and the oil drain "valve" to enable oil changes from up top without jacking the car up.

Only other stuff is an I-pod with Monster FM interface.
Garmin C-330 Portable GPS
400 Watt inverter to run Notebook
Bell three headed remote 12 Volt receptical to power this stuff.
V1 when outside of VA, where they are illegal.
Extra set of OEM wheels with Dunlop M-2 winter tires (as the S-02's are totally useless in the snow)

I would like to change the exhaust to a "Cat back" to make it sound like a sports car below V-Tec range. We have a Borla on our Exploder. I find it interesting that Honda did such a good job on the stock OEM system that the performance improvements are minimal on the aftermarket systems.

Anyone have any suggestions for sound versus performance gains? The Invidia sounds great, but too loud for long trips (according to some people).

Matt -

It's two coats of NXT Tech wax applied with a P-C random orbit buffer. I clay the car once a year or so. I'm waaay to lazy for Zaino.

Better, I've got instructions.

http://www.eskimo.com/~mikeg/S2000/ducting/

The main thing I would do differently is that I would use 2.5" ducting instead of 3", and I would not try to put actual ducts into the faux duct inlets. Instead I would just cut a 2.5" hole in the back of the inlet and rivet on a flange.

Mike,

Thank you. That's an interesting mod.

Nice idea for this thread update, Rob

As of mid-August

- Filled front license plate and 'H' holes; eliminated front 'H'
- Eliminated side 'H' and 'S2000' logos
- '04 Bumper
- '04 Headlights
- Muz countersunk shift knob; gunmetal anodized and 'hammered' finish
- OEM '03 rear spoiler
- V-1
- Wind blocker hoop inserts
- Winter floor mats
- Winter tires: Blizzak on stock rims

By mid-September....in time for FC
- X-Pel 'clear bra' on headlamps/ bumper/ fenders/ hood/ mirror/ door edges
- Clear front side markers

Under Consideration....need more research (and $$ )
- Elimination of rear 'H' badge (is this the dental floss sop?)
- Rick's 7/8 wind screen
- Cold Air Induction
- Fujitsubo Exhaust
