Ice Hockey 2015-2016 season
Starting a fresh thread for another season of hockey! If you're a fan we'd love to hear from you and what's up with your team.
The Red Wings kick off their season tonight against their longtime coach. They beat Bab's Toronto team in preseason but this is the real deal tonight. I can't wait for it to start. The Wing's new coach has actually coached most of the players before so he knows them and they know him, and to a man they all said it was time for change in coaching style in Detroit.
I hope that change and their new players can get them past the first round of the playoffs. What! Already thinking playoffs! Yes.

Afraid it's going to be a LONG season for my BRUINS. Lost first game of the season 6-2 to Winnipeg.
Used to know all the names and numbers but so many new faces last night I hardly recognized the team.

Wings had an awesome opener. 4-0. Abby had a hat trick!! Their new 19 year old, Larkin, had a goal and an assist. He was the first rookie to start an opener for the Wings in 24 years and he certainly looked like he belonged there. Six shots in his first game, great speed, and defense. Nice win for the new coach against the old coach to make it officially Blash's team.

The Wings won one they probably did not deserve but we will take it. Shots at one point were 30 to 5 against the Wings but they got their legs in the 3rd and pulled out their 2nd win.
