Not true on this cruise. Along with walking everywhere on board, we took 2 all-day excursions to visit Mayan ruins, and they required a great deal of walking, not to mention just getting off the ship and the looonnng treks on the docks to the meet-up points. We walked at least 7.5 miles on each of these tours. We also tried to use the stairs vs. the elevators when we could. This was a gigantic ship, the Norwegian Getaway, 17 decks high and over 1,100 feet long. This was our 5th cruise, and honestly, I much prefer the smaller ships. 4,000 passengers is just too many!

But there're still lots of eating and drinking opportunities, as you say!

^ If I want to see ruins I only have to go to Detroit but you don't want to do a great deal of walking there. I've only been on one cruise and that was just to the Bahama's. All went great but I've now crossed cruises off my do-list. I've no desire to do a second.

Back on topic, I've recently gotten into a really bad habit of eating lots of ice cream every night, something I've never done before. Not good..... no matter how much yard work I do.

Well, I've been trying to lose weight for about 10 days. I'm down about 7 pounds.

Seven pounds in 10 days? Wow...I gained some over last weekend in NC but am back down now. There was lots of good food I didn't want to pass up. None of it is in my home, so makes it easier to avoid.

I put on about 4 pounds over the past couple of weeks due to no ElliptiGO riding and Spring Fling partying. Back to it today. The weather here is perfect to ride in with the upper 60s to low 70s. Yay.

I'm down 12 pounds in the last two weeks all from the move and all of the work related to the new house. Now if I can just keep it off.

8 pounds this AM, but to night I'm having a few drinks. I have big trial in 10 days so it's work, work, work for me. Not sure about weight loss until June.

I dropped about 8 pounds when I went on a new med for an unrelated reason.
I didn't do anything, it just killed my appetite.

I went just the opposite way and I am back to where I was in Feb. Even tho I've been working my butt off in yard work etc. I more than make up for it to kill the pain afterwards. None the less, I get a lot of satisfaction out of making the yard better every year and knowing we did it.
