Was down another 1.5 pounds this AM. See if I can remain below the number ending in 0.

I have to say that I appreciate the effort my cafeteria is making at work to help me lose weight.
egads their food sucks lately. I love to eat but have been throwing half full dishes away.

Among the other trials and tribulations I've had, about 2 years ago I developed peripheral neuropathy.
the fatty tissue on my hands and field have lost fine sense of touch.
In it's place is the sensation of hot cold and pain randomly occurring but all at once.
It was getting more and more annoying so the neurologist put me on a med to help de-tune the sensation. it sort of works.
The other thing it de-tuned was my appetite. I just don't enjoy eating as much as I used too.

It's not all bad though. On April 23rd I weighed 262.6 lbs. This morning I weighed 248. So down almost 15 lbs.
I'm simply eating less. ( enjoying it less too )
I just need to figure out how to get some exercise coupled in to really burn the calories.

I remember the days when I could lose 15 pounds in 30 days . . . . but those days are long-ago history. Good for you!!!

I lost 5 pounds with the flu two weeks ago and still have kept 3 pounds of it off. I need to get the stomach flu again (NOT).

I've been more or less at the number ending in 0 for awhile now. That's been my pattern over the years. I stay at the same level for a long time. So not sure I'll lose more, but I'm not worried about it.

That was never the case for me. I do remember eating whatever I wanted all weekend, putting on a few pounds and it would disappear by Tuesday. That doesn't happen any more. I know I snack too much, but I exercise plenty. Yet, it's all I can do to maintain. I still believe that I eat better, snack less when I'm not working. I keep busier, and much less sitting. Guess I need to retire to lose a few pounds! Not sure Rick is buying into that quite yet.

Well, here we are eight months into the year.....I know a few of you have kicked off some weight. I'm still the same as I was in January. I flirt with a slight loss, but it doesn't last. I am, however continuing to try different classes at the Y. So, even if I'm not losing any weight, I believe my endurance and fitness level may be improving. Perhaps I'm even making my shoulder muscles a bit stronger, as some of the things I did in the beginning would make my shoulder scream at me, are not doing so now. I backed off a bit, started to ease in a bit on the exercises that seemed to bug the shoulder, and that may have been the answer.

On Wednesdays I attend two half hour classes. One is to work the "core" the other is interval training. We had two subs yesterday. The first sub had us doing a bit more work than the usual instructor and the second sub was like a drill sergeant with a great sense of humor. He had us up, down, do this do that. I was totally BEAT at the end of the second class and for a minute thought my lunch my re-appear. Exercise is a blast! Actually I'd love to take a class with that instructor again, but I might have to pace myself, I was the only one there that had to sit on the floor a bit at the end of the class. Thankful I did not

I lost 9 pounds in January and after some ups and downs I am still at that same weight. Its also the same as I weighed 5 years ago. I guess its my 'normal' weight unless I pig out.
