Well done! Congratulations Gene. I think you are on a very good track right now. It may take a while, but you will get there!!

Well, I hope the two you lost didn't return.

My weekend went better than expected, despite at least one big meal each day and not much organized exercise. From Thursday to Sunday I only exercised on Sunday. 163.7 this morning, so only up .4 pounds after four days of food challenges. Back to it today and no food events in sight for a while.

That all sounds pretty tough, Patty. When do you stop the pain killers? Are you able to walk around or is that too painful still?

I'm cutting back on the oxycodone but won't be off until I don't need any, and I don't know when that will be. I can walk around but I'm dingy, my balance is off and I don't have any stamina. When I can I'll get out there and walk in the neighborhood but the time hasn't come yet.

Bill, you did much better than I. Paid the price for a pig-out weekend. Up 3.

Today was tough. Hosted a birthday lunch for my wife. I had 2 slices of pizza, a Pepsi, and a slice of dark chocolate layer cake with homemade peanut butter frosting. My fault, I made the cake. We have 1/2 the pizza, 1/2 the cake and a dozen donuts left over. (My niece works for Dunkin and supplied the donuts.)

Don't rush it! Surgery is controlled trauma, and you had trauma before the "controlled trauma". Give you body time to recover from surgery and anesthesia. You want good balance before stepping out.
I feel for you. I'm sure it's not easy to be still and hang around.

The birthday party did me in. Still, while I didn't lose, there hasn't been a week where I gained.
