Watching it I was reminded of the Jeff Kronsnoff shunt at Toronto in July of 1996 where he also went into the fence.

Just watched my recording of IndyCar at Portland. Way better race than I thought it would be. The track looked so flat and boring I did not think it would be a factor but it proved to be a challenge. I did not use be a fan of Sato but as the year's pass I have gained respect for him. Congrats and he is 41, so if he buys an S2000 he could join us here.

I got to take Sato on the parade lap for this years race at Mid-Ohio. He is a massive fan of the S2000, we chatted for the entire lap about the car and racing. He even knew 09 was the last year for them. Really nice guy.

Wow, how cool is that! If you did not have a black car you could have had him sign it. My S2000 days at Mid-Ohio are but a distant memory. I love that track because there are some areas where you can get so close you feel like you can touch the Indycars, like inside turn 8, aka as Madness.

Do they still do the decals, or is that a thing of the past. This was mine 10 years ago.

No, we haven't done the decals in quite a few years. I have some from a year or two after that adorning my garage fridge.

2008 - made the trip from NJ to Ohio all decalled up... It was horrible weather on race day. We were in parade formation for the day and the rain came. Go Go Go... so we did our parade lap in an absolute downpour. After the parade lap it cleared up...

Dave- looking back, same year? I guess we've met at some point.

Looks like the Jags had a better day than my Steelers and Lions.

Those are some nice memories for those of you that participated in the pre-event festivities. Thanks for sharing.
