There you go, Bill! I have a friend who swears by a bite or two of a cookie made with a special ingredient for a great nights sleep.

Once, in January 2018, Ricky and I did edibles here in CO. OMG! It took a good 90 minutes to kick in and by then we did some refer. Too much. Give edibles time.

Poor you, Dave. Booze has also helped me but it makes me fat. For me, 4 ibuprofens, twice a day helps with my degenerative C and L discs. I've been dealing with the degenerative L discs for 13+ years. It's why I quit running and took up the ElliptiGO, once I discovered it. I just recently found out I've got issues in my neck, too, thanks to rheumatoid arthritis. The ortho doctor I waited 3 months to see for my "rotator cuff" problems told me my shoulder is fine but my neck is causing the problems, and that it's a 100% given that RA patients will have issues with their neck vertebrae.
If you want to compare notes,
I've known about my neck issues for decades - - spurs and cervical spondylitis with occasional severe pain with restricted movement. So I am sure the "C" group is well represented in my occasional pain, but over time (as of now), I get through it.
No way am I going under a knife for my neck.
As for the shoulders, I was told almost 15 years ago both were worn out and damaged
enough to be replaced. But I’ve over come the pain enough to live with it.
But this lower spine and hip pain is unlike anything else I had to deal with. God, I'd give anything if I could take normal pain relievers such as Motrin, Advil, Tylenol, etc.
but I get seriously sick trying any of them.
My GP finally agreed I am one of the unlucky ones who can not take them.
My research suggests there is no convincing evidence that acupuncture is
effective in back pain but I am willing to try just about anything at this stage.
If I lived in CO I know I be standing in line for medical marijuana, which seems
an option. I have an idea where I can get it illegally here and that may be next.
I was thinking of asking you how you handled your issues because you've mentioned them in the past. I know you are a fighter and I'd like to think I am as well.

Dave don't wait, try the I would.
I'm guessing you've also tried all the Bio Freeze, BenGay, Salon Pas Products? Aspercreme? Just a small band aid for your issue I know, but worth a try.
Old Ben still helps me out if a shoulder or something acts up. None of that vanishing scent one. Has to be the stinky one. Don't know why....

Lainey, I've never tried any of those products. I think of them as being snake oil treatments. They may be effective on muscles but not likely on nerve issues. Frankly I don't even like talking about my pain issues . . . heck, if talking about it were a cure we'd all be I would like to try marijuana cream. Since I quit smoking in 1989 I really have no desire to start up again but never say never.

Dave, my medical marijuana is a sticky substance like tar. It literally takes an amount half the size of a grain of rice to do the job. I put it on a cracker or cookie about 90 minutes before bedtime. No smoking anything.
Now that it's legal in California, you go to a shop and tell them what you want to accomplish: sleep, pain relief, get high, seizures etc. and they sell you the product, in the form you request, to help you out.

I've never tried the myself, and I've never smoked....so I'd have to go for the edible version. I DO like cookies.
