That's IT, I am sure. The copy I read was just a plain dark red cover, many moons ago.

My mistake. It was The Red Car by Don Stanford, a 1963 publication. The hard cover version on Amazon right now is $324.00.

You know what . . . I knew that but damn I could not find it. Its a little dated now but its about an MG TC. Everyone in our club has read it at one time.
