Its time to say thank you.
This afternoon when I logged into s2ki I noticed that Vintage is no longer the smallest forum among the general interest forums. Sometime between Monday and today, Vintage passed Bike Talk in number of posts. Wow, Vintage has only been active for about two months. I was thrilled. It looks like it was a good idea and it looks like a lot of us are happy with it. Then I thought that it would be appropriate to say thank you to all of the people who made it work.
First, I'd like to say thank you to my co-moderator. Deb (MsPerky) is an absolute pleasure to work with. She takes Vintage very seriously and is enthusiastic about. I couldn't have asked for a better comoderator. I can't wait to meet her at Fall Colors.
Next, our official statistician Gene (jukngene). He's the one who keeps track of all the stats and produces all of those great graphs. I can't wait to meet Gene at Fall Colors. Thanks Gene.
Some groups take forever to create a badge, we had ours in 24 hours thanks to Mark (PWRMKR). And it is quite a badge. I'd say it's one of the nicest on s2ki.com. Thanks Mark.
Jerry (paS2k) came up with the original idea and pushed for the creation of this forum. Because of him Vintage came to be. Thanks Jerry.
The biggest thank you of all goes to all of you who participate in Vintage. Some of you post a lot, some not so much. Some of you start threads, some of you add comments. All in all, you have created a forum where ideas and subjects are freely discussed, and there is a great deal of respect. It thrills me that we approach the discussions with the maturity and intensity that we do. It is a feather in our cap that people from outside of Vintage come in here to participate. It is to our credit that we discuss topics without the noise and the flames.
In a week I am going to Fall Colors. I am especially excited about meeting all of my "Vintage" friends. I wish every member of Vintage could come, and I hope to meet all of you some day.
Thank you for making Vintage into such a great forum.

Thanks to all for the thoughts and stats. Great job

Please add my thanks for a fine place to go to post our thoughts with fellow vintage drivers. While our Vintage Forum is far more civilized than the rest, I find "...ideas and subjects are freely discussed and there is a great deal of respect...." to be an exaggeration.
