Groups of Americans were traveling by tour bus through Switzerland. As they stopped at a cheese farm a young guide led them through the process of cheese making, explaining that goat's milk was used. She showed the group a lovely hillside where many goats were grazing. "These" she explained "are the older goats put out to pasture when they no longer produce." She then asked "What do you do in America with your old goats?"
A spry old gentleman answered "They send us on bus tours!"

You tip them from the top, or so I've heard, but new ones have devices on top of them now which prevent the old tipping way to work.

of curse this was all so very long ago, as was told to me since I would have no direct personal experience in something like that.
there was a trip lever at the bottom of each stack to cause a release of a soda.
If you knew where to look and had long skinny arms and delicate fingers, you could pretty much get anything you wanted.
but of course as i said, i know nothing about that sort of thing.

And that's why more Americans die by vending machine than shark attack. (This is a true stat.)
