I normally do not watch much basketball, but I do like to follow my college teams at playoff time - UNC and Duke. So far they are doing well. Duke played Texas Tech last night in a thriller and won. I dated the manager of the Duke team when I was at UNCG. He was in law school there. Went to some basketball fraternity parties. UNC plays UCLA tonight. The Arkansas/Gonzaga game was another thriller.

 

Do you presently seek treatment for your dissociative identity disorder as a Duke and UNC fan?

Lifelong UNC fan/Duke hater (the rivalry is part of the fun)....Tarheel/Baylor football game was some of the greatest and worst I've ever seen. From whistle-swallowing refs, to Baylors "defense" and UNC not being able to handle the pressure in the last 10 min...I aged 20 years in 30 min. My current dream is UNC over UCLA, St. Peters over Purdue (Purdue is a bad matchup for UNC) and Duke over Arkansas. This would be a Duke/UNC rematch in the Final Four.

I will say I think Duke wins this matchup 8 times out of 10. UNC beat them at home in what was one of my greatest moments as a UNC fan (spoiling Coach K's final home game was incredible) and Duke would definitely enter the game with a chip on their shoulder but it would be a cool matchup with all to play for.

 

Well I dated a UNC football player, too, so that evens it out. I did not let the rivalry stand in my way.

 

And UNC advances. Games have been really good so far.

 

That game last night between SPU and Perdue was a nail biter to the end. I hope SPU reaches Final Four just to mix it up a bit. In the end, I hope Coach K leaves with a final championship win.

 

OK, Villanova and Duke are in the Final Four. UNC plays St Pete's today. Kinda conflicted about this one because I like St Pete's. See what happens!

 

Looking like St Pete is being outgunned so far. If UNC plays Duke, have to think about that one. It would be the first time in history the two teams have met in March Madness. Crazy...

 

^ That is very unusual. It is hard to imagine two powerhouses have never met in March Madness Bracket. I will be rooting for Duke. I feel bad for the SPU but that team deserves all the credit for reaching Elite Eight. Hopefully they will be a regular entry in March Madness.

 

NCAA Tournament Doomsday clock has struck zero. UNC/Duke meeting in the Final Four is an abomination and should not exist.

 

Let's not forget the women's tourney. My NCState Wolfpack are playing to be in the Final Four tonight against UConn. Should be a great game!
