Delete if this is "politics". Hopefully not as I am stating the a FACT. News that Powell will NOT be fired..........SHOULD NOT BE NEWS and not a reason for the market to rally. "The Fed" is an independent agency and the governors can be fired only “for cause”.

Seems that people are acting more so now on EMOTION.

If Bill is reflective of others and use any rally's to "SELL into the Rally" then I might have to sideline the LESS THAN 10% of my 401K that is NOT in a "stable fund" basically the closest thing to cash that I can get since CASH isn't an option in my portfolio from what I can see.

So will you still grab some of the returned $ and run for the hills?

I still may want to do a bit more re-balancing, to a slightly more comfortable (for me) level, but the truth is, if we are to make any money on retirement accounts, I'd guess, long term, the market is still the best shot at it..............maybe.

I think someone hit the cat with defib paddles and then doused it with scalding water.

so today was an up day, at last and it stuck....this time of year normally is a down time anyway....people who made money have to take profits, people who lost have to take losses or pay tax on non gains. it goes that way every year....feels like a bit of a bottom, tomorrow will tell if it was. i am optimistic having survived the depression of 10 years ago and come out ahead by staying the course. and yes as of yesterday i was in negative for the year, today, not. so goes this crazy market....

Any sell order on my 401k has to be received by noon (I think) and is priced using the closing day numbers. So I have to see how it is doing tomorrow before I do anything as it might go down again tomorrow.
