some folks will do anything to get out of having to shovel the driveway.
Good luck Zippy. I don't envy you one little bit.

Boy, I would love to make this but not until after Patty retires.

Ken,
My best wishes for a good outcome.
FWIIW: Everyone that I know that has ever had knee replacement surgery that had a good and successful outcome did the rehabilitation as prescribed. The only reports that I have ever seen from people that did NOT have a good outcome was from stubborn people that did not do the rehab as prescribed. Just my two cents.

Ken,
I'm going to try to make this one when it happens.
More importantly, good luck with the replacement. You'll do fine.

Thanks for the heads-up Dave. I actually investigated the surgeon and the Zimmer appliance. The problem that was encountered was only with the NexGen device without cement. It is a very serious issue for those folks. I spoke with the surgeon yesterday and he assured me that he would not be using that particular unit. He uses a cemented one that he has seen no issues with himself, nor in the industry. The ortho is rated as one of the twenty best in the US for knee replacement.
Again, thanks for the heads up, it's always good to be careful, I am hoping that this will last the rest of my life.

I do not want a knee or hip replacement.
I was thinking along the lines of they should start my clone now.
When it is 18 we can transplant my brain into that body.
Then we'd have a virile young male walking around with a 70 yr old mind trying to remember what to do with it.

I have a good friend who had it last year. He is an avid tennis player, several times a week. I'm sure that contributed to his knee problems, but he's been back playing as much as before. So very successful for him.
