Midlife crisis ultimate thrill. Skydiving!
#11
Hey jrfblueeyes,
I jumped with an instructor strapped to my ass. I could've paid 3 times as much to have someone on each side of me instead, but my thinking was as long as we get plenty of freefall (no static line jumps) then I'd rather spend my money on the video guy to jump with us. It was a blast. I'm ready to go again, if only for the time and money.
Airplanes are awesome. Unless your a reporter for a local news station or a celebrity, good luck getting in a jet fighter - bummer.
A neat alternative is the "Dogfight" schools they have with some pretty maneuverable single prop trainers. Seems like a lot more freedom to pull crazy tricks compared to normal "flight" training.
So many thrills......so little money - sigh.
