Dean

I hope you didn't catch any part of that earthquake.

Grant, thanks for posting again and for concerns. We are fine, although waking to sounds and shaking as though the house was coming down was not fun. We only had one broken vase inside, and bigger cracks in the driveway outside.
We went to my office less than a mile from downtown Napa, expecting broken windows. It was secure, but everything that could fall, did. Broken vases, lamps etc, but no equipment breakage. My microwave was turned 90 degrees, and heavy copy machine moved on its table 45 degrees but didn't crash. All in all I feel lucky.
If you see on the news a car with bricks in the rear window, that sits 10 feet from a friends real estate office. All the downtown damage is within a few blocks that we frequent often. I'm afraid our old post office landmark building will have to be torn down, it looks like too much damage to save.
My first fears were that we were far from the epicenter. If we shook like that and the center was San Francisco, that city would be FLAT. But we are just 5 miles or so.
All is well.

Huh. I wasn't aware of the earthquake until I read this thread. A 6.0 is a good one. I'm glad you're okay, Dean.

You know what they say about old accountants. I'm glad it's true.

Glad you made it through with little damage.
