You and I really need to get together when I'm up there. I am there for about 3+ weeks each year. I go up in April for 2+ weeks to make sure that my mom's property is ready for the summer and to meet with her care giver to discuss her services. In August, I'm there for a week + for her birthday and to ensure that the contracts for leaf collection and gutter cleaning are all in working order. We had her 100th birthday two weeks ago. It was cool. Her congressman sent a certificate of recognition, the mayor of Lynn, MA send a certificate of recognition and we had 50 friends, family and neighbors to an 8-course buffet party (that dented my checking account).

I'll try to remember to send a PM to you when I go up next spring.

Coop, if you and the GF are in good health and the weather is accommodating, consider the Freedom Trail in Boston. It is a great way to see the history of the city by foot on a self guided tour following a red stripe on the sidewalk.

Someone above mentioned foliage and the fall colors in New England can be spectacular, especially in the three northern states of Vermont, NH and Maine. The peak colors vary a bit year to year, so be sure to follow it on line. Note well that the weekend traffic up north can be especially bad during foliage season.

Connecticut and RI have some good wineries so if you want to drive around a get drunk, check this out:

Wineries & Vineyards - Connecticut (CT) Wine Trail

If your GF is into chick flicks like Mystic Pizza, you can take her to Mystic Pizza when you drive through Mystic CT.

Mystic Pizza - Restaurants and Frozen Foods

The best twisties in Massachusetts are in the western part of the state. You can explore the area using this site dedicated to the Mohawk Trail:

Car Trips Western Mass - Scenic Driving Western MA - Tours through Western Mass Countryside - Tours of New England - Mohawk Trail

Old Sturbridge Village is a nice trip in the fall and there will undoubtedly be a number of harvest/beer events in the area:

I'm very partial to Cape Cod and many people say that the fall is the best season on the Cape.

It is also pretty easy to get a spot for your car on the ferry to Martha's Vineyard in October:

If you like WWII ships of war, be sure to visit Battleship Cove while you are here:

Lainey likes to throw parties at her house, so send her a message and tell her you are coming and maybe she'll throw a big party for you!

We've had a few gatherings. I can call for take out pizza as well as the next person.

If you add the "Whaling City"/New Bedford to your agenda, let me know, coop.

Well if you are in DC, head due east and stop by Cape May on your way up.

i'm going out on a limb here and thinking Coop might be thinking something a little more private than an S2000 owners tour.
