If you are in DC, I would like to tag along for a drink, if I am not intruding?

May I suggest that if you find yourself in Boston, I would HIGHLY recommend going to the Union Street Oyster House Check out the link about it's history. The raw bar is incredible, as it has been there since 1826 and is worn down by years of people leaning on the bar. They also have the booth where JFK and Jackie would sit when they dined there.

If you find yourself in Maine, I would suggest a spending at least two days in Camden, Maine. A picture postcard town. The Plant Pixie and I ran across it back 2004 on a road trip and liked it so much we stayed for a couple of days.

My wife took our kids when they were small on that walk - while I was stuck in a business meeting not far away. She is not normally one to head out into the big city on her own, so I was proud of her and I know they all enjoyed it.

Want to scare her, take her for a drive up Mt. Washington, NH....

Want beautiful sights, head farther north to Arcadia Nat Park in Maine.... then stop in Bar Harbor, ME for a relaxing walk of the town.

The vertical drop off on one side of the 1.75 lane road.... and the rock wall on the other side.... plus, part of it is still gravel/dirt, which makes it even more fun when wet..... plus the fog, so thick you can barely see the car in front of you.

Anyone who takes a camper up there, should be taken to the local mental hospital and committed!

If you want some fun, they have a bicycle race there every year.

Not for me though, I pulled a muscle reading about it.
49 minutes up the mountain. is the record.

If you want some scary hills with big drops drive through independence pass out in colorado.
The only place I've ever really gotten uneasy was the ridge drive at staircase escalante.
The road weaves left and right and up and down. no guardrails or markers.
You pop the brow and never know which way the road is going to go.
I crawled over some of those.
