Neat appliance for the garage
I've been dragging a Hoover wind tunnel vacuum around the garage for years and was looking for something I could mount on the wall. Here it is: For the Garage
I didn't use the mounting brackets that came with the unit, instead I used the screw in kind with #8 screws. It's nice and solid on the wall and the suction is great!
The hose extends to 40', but it begins to whistle a little when you get it pulled full out. It comes with several attachments for detailing your car. I'm always looking for something for my garage and so far, I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

It looks like a cool idea but I kind of chuckle at their ad a little though.
In one line they claim a 5 hp motor but then in the article (which they wrote) they point to talking about horsepower they say
for the record they are right about electric HP limits on standard 120v house wiring.
on 230V you can kick that higher or with heavy duty wiring, usually both.
for me, I just drag around the shop vac.

Thus, under the best of conditions, the motor will only produce 1.9 hp.

The suction on this unit is exceptional. Before I bought it, I visited a local vacuum cleaner store and they had one. The store owner said that it had the best suction of any unit in his shop. He said that if someone brings in a vacuum that is clogged, that was the one he uses to unclog it.

I have two MG friends that have the same unit and they like them. I still prefer the old smaller drag around kind; mine is so old I have the top suction unit attached to a 5 gallon plastic paint bucket, which in turn sits inside the original bucket that has the wheels. I bought a newer roller style and did not like it at all; so it went to the basement.

When we built our house some 17 years ago, (has it been that long, really???) I personally installed a central vac system. In a rare moment of wisdom, I installed an outlet in the garage, and I have the best of all worlds. A 20 ft hose that plugs in right at the garage door that allows me to vacuum the cars with super suction, and no need for a shop vac or a house vac to lug around.
