The "knock-off" from Sealy is quite nice and I am used to the memory-foam sleeping experience, but it not the same, but somewhat close.
I had a Tempurpedic that I loved until I started getting back aches. I think it just softened up too much. I sold it on Craigslist for $100.

I have a hybrid mattress in my 5th wheel at Kennedy Meadows. It has springs and foam. It's hard as a rock when it's cold but then warms up and cuddles the body. It's too soft and hard to move on although it feels like a hug.

Gee, Dave. You sound a little bitter. Can't imagine why.

Not long after we bought our mattress (however many years ago), we also replaced the mattress in the guest room. After a couple (several?) years, we swapped them out and put the newer mattress in our room. I know that was at least 10 years ago as we swapped them out prior to my first shoulder surgery. Anyway, last night I could not sleep. Tossing, turning, getting up, going back to bed. I didn't want to continue to disturb Rick's sleep so I headed to the guest room. I have to say that mattress is still quite comfortable. I think more so than ours. It doesn't get much use. When the grandkids were little, if both were sleeping over, the granddaughter would get "dibs" on the bed, while her brother got an air mattress. Sadly the sleep overs are few and far between now. Maybe we should have saved a few $$ and just swapped them out again.

We've got our Tom Brady mattress
pillow top over coils. was a bunch of money but has been worth it.
2 years on and Barb stills says " I love getting in this bed " at least once a week.
we rotate it since you can't flip it.

We have a Simmons Beautyrest Drucilla pillow top that cost a couple grand and we've hated it from the time it was delivered. The installers bent it and the store would not take it back.

Mattress delivered today. I may need a step stool to get in/out of bed. It was rather firm, hopefully only due to the foam absorbing the cold temps...I'll report in tomorrow.
They will take it back, as mentioned....................for a fee.

I seem to remember that they said it took a day or two for the foam to warm up.

They're always firm at first. Give it time and you may love it.

Thanks. We're hoping the gel foam top helps Rick's hip bursitis. We certainly will give it some time.

Tempurpedic...hands down the best sleep I ever had. Definitely worth my hard earned cash. We bought a queen size about 15 years ago still sleeps great. Upgraded to a more expensive model in king size about 4 years ago. No regrets. But it was costly, could have bought a nice set of Volks.
