New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival 2019
Now begins the decision about what day(s) we want to attend. The event spans two four-day weekends. Every day features literally dozens of acts, some known and revered in New Orleans and many known world wide. To make matters more complicated, two top acts may overlap on the schedule, playing two of the four main stages. (There are another 10 or so smaller stages/venues, all inside the New Orleans Fairgrounds horse racing track)
Here are some of the more well known acts. You can see them all here: Jazz Fest Lineup
If you could only go one day, which day would that be?

Wow, tough call, Sun 28, and May3-May5 would be my choices for headliners. Two folks I don't see "in the headliners", but I would think would be there Terrence Simian, and Big Sam's Funky Nation, would be on my short list of try to find in town, oh almost forgot, Bonerama is another one of my NO favorites.
Have fun planning this one.

I thought the same about Jerry Lee Lewis, but he is still touring. He is on the main list of featured performers but not on any of the daily schedules that I could find. Same for Bob Seger and the SBB and a couple other big names. But hour-by-hour schedules have not been released yet. I expect some scheduling details are still being worked out. Tom Jones and Pit Bull at the same event. Definitely something for everybody.

I've seen about nine of those acts. Saw Tom Jones a few years ago. He was fantastic.
