Default New ride

I took delivery of a 2016 BMW 228i convertible today. Estoril blue with oyster/black interior, 8 speed automatic with paddles. Most options including the Mpackage. Got a great deal on a end of model year vehicle and they bought my 4 year old Jeep for 1500 less than I paid for it. The Jeep was a separate negotiation from the bimmer deal. Legal Bill has a M235 bimmer in same color combo.

Wow! How exciting!

Any pictures?

How long were you thinking of getting it, or did you just get it on the spur of the moment?

I thought about a Corvette, Boxster and finally settled on this. Back seat accommodates the grandkids. It took about 6-8 months as I had Jeeps for 6 years and felt it was time to move on to something else. We don't drive on the beach anymore and getting in and out of a Jeep was getting old. Not to mention the time it takes to lower top, remove side and rear windows manually. Now it takes 15 seconds and I can lower it at speeds under 30. Embarrased to say I don't know how to post pics. I have them on my iPhone.

SWEET RIDE. Maybe the grandkids can show you how to post pictures.

If you need any detailing tips, let me know.

Ray, great choice. Road and Track thinks the 228 is the best of the 2 series litter.

Ray sent me a picture by text. It will take me a while to upload it to photo bucket and then post it.

More kudos from here, Ray. I like to look around the local BMW lots when I have time; glad to hear that you got a good end of year deal. It's not hard for the MSRP to reach 60k and more....

I was recently intrigued by a used '09 M6 cabriolet, V-10 in white over black; about 75k miles and asking 33,500. I do wonder about the annual maintenance costs, however... For now, I remain happy with my '03 S2000
