Default Another school shooting

Here we go again. It happened around 2. 14 injured and numerous fatalities. They showed a video inside one of the class rooms where kids were taking cover as multiple shots were fired. The sound of the shots was absolutely terrifying. They have 1 suspect in custody. Will it ever end.

Not interesting, Hello, 17 young kids were killed and many were injured. How can you make a insensitive stupid statement like this. Maybe if it was someone you knew you might be interested.

Apparently it is the 13th school shooting this year. ( I've no idea if that is Jan. '18 to today or the school year.) However, I think the shootings show that something has gone badly wrong in society. I am so sorry for all who are involved.

This^. If anything, the right to bear arms was far more liberal back in the day. Most of my friends owned guns and we were teens. I think every house had one sort of gun or another. I'm not sure if it was nationwide at the time, but I'm guessing gun ownership was pretty widespread in the 60s and 70s. Did we have this many shootings back then? I'm guessing not. I sure don't remember hearing about them. So what happened? One big change is the demise of the nuclear family. I can't say much more without sending the whole thread into politics.

Yep, that's it. I'm the asshole. If nothing changed after those babies were slaughtered at Sandy Hook, then nothing will change. Count on it. I hope I'm wrong but...
You know, when I responded to the initial post about 30 people had already read the initial post and not one had responded. Think that says something?
If a large number of "responsible" gun owners were less worried about their God given right to amass whatever sort of arsenal their little hearts desired and worried a bit more about controlling and limiting the access of irresponsible gun owners to weapons and ammunition, then maybe they would actually be more free to pursue their hobby.
I suspect that as it has seemed lately, no one will even question how this disturbed individual had access to his weapon and ammunition.

But what do I know? I'm just an insensitive and likely a sarcastic asshole.

I got it. At what point does the outrage and anguish just turn into numb?
There is a collective of individuals who conceptually would have it in their power to impact change.
There is a another collective of corporate linked individuals with lots of money who don't want that to happen.
