I have no idea how well PG&E maintains their equipment, lines, etc. but I do know lawyers are always looking from someone with deep pockets to blame.

Apparently, one woman's backyard power pole may have started the whole thing, near Paradise. Sparks onto the ground. And PG&E knew about it. For a long time.

Relevant to this - https://www.nbcnews.com/business/bus...killer-n935571

Seems PG&E had an issue on a line right where the fire started. One heck of a coincidence.

Looks like the Woolsey fire started at/near a PG&E substation - https://www.psr-la.org/massive-wools...tial-meltdown/

The NBC link in the original post indicated a political topic. If it is not a political thread we can move it back to main Vintage.
