Default No hardtop for me

WOW -- 65 deg today and temps expected to hit 70 -- snotty nose and all I put on my little ear muffs and hit the winding road today with, of course, the top down. Often here in central Virginia during December and even in February, the temps climb and I just love being able to pop those buttons and cruise topless -- WOW -- had a great little drive today with the sun on my face and the wind in my hair. Nope, no hardtop for me!!!

Lucky you Valentine. I'm wanting mine since my baby has been rained on and then frozen three times already. It was supposed to be in last Friday but it seems to be lost in transit. I'm waiting on a PM. Andy was going to put his on but now it's supposed to be warmer this weekend so he's holding off.

I wouldn't want to put a hardtop on the car -- we have one for the corvette and it hasn't even come off its rack for seven years. We have too many days when its nice during the winter and its just too much trouble to take it off/put it on/take it off/put it on. Anytime the sun is shining can be a topdown day -- even if its in the 20s -- the heater works great, you can put on a hat and gloves, a scarf around your neck and just fly . . . I think the hardtop looks nice and if you live in an area where there's a lot of snow, etc. its great -- I'm just one of those eccentric folks who likes to drive around topless as much as possible.

We had 50 degree top down driving on Sunday. Not sure when we will see that again, here in New England Yesterday was VERY nasty out there, but our area had all rain, no snow or ice.

We'll just start counting down the days till spring fling!

I just got a PM that said my hardtop won't be in for at least another 3 weeks. When I bought the car it was supposed to be in at the end of November. I may have to put it in the garage if the rain and freezing keeps up.

Since I store my S2000 over the winter, I have no use for a hard top....I just wish I could drive it rather than having to wait 5 more months...

We've had some r**n, but no freezing yet -- January is usually our really bad month -- after that a little bit in Feb and then March usually brings thawing, some occasional poopy weather, but we're protected on three sides by mountains -- to the north and west of us the folks get nasty stuff, but we don't generally get as much snow -- some icing from time to time, but I normally get to drive the S all year. I've had to keep it in the garage for as much as two or three weeks of misery, but that's about it.

I agree. No hardtop for me. The pleasure in owning a roadster is driving it with the top down, regardless of the temperature. I'm lucky in that I own another car so my S never comes out in the rain or snow.

I thought about a hardtop when I started looking at the car, but quickly rejected the idea. If I put a hardtop on in the fall, I wouldn't take it off until the spring, and I didn't want to miss all of those beautiful, crystal clear and cold winter days. That said, if I owned a hardtop, I'd probably never put it on.

Invest your money in a scarf, gloves, hat and leather jacket instead.

Nope, no hardtop for me.

I own a hardtop. I almost never put it on. Once, last winter, I put it on for a few days when the Prelude was in the shop. I think that that was the first time I used it since I bought it in March, 2001.
