Here is a picture of trees in front of our house in October 2015. This year, the trees are not pretty at all, just green and brown. (Unfortunately, even though the leaves are just green and brown, they still need to be raked. )

Here is an article from our local newspaper about why the leaves are not reaching peak colors in our area this year.

Leaves falling from trees before reaching peak color due to recent heat, dry weather in Ohio - News - The Columbus Dispatch - Columbus, OH

Our incredible dry summer really screwed with Michigan's color. Yesterday should have been the peak of the peak in lower Michigan but according to what I hear on the news the color has just reached the peak in UP. Mostly yellows and browns here. A lot of the stressed trees have already lost their leaves. No reds to speak of, at least not yet. Still it was a good time. 70° and sunny in the middle of October is too good to pass up. After the first hour I took them to a terrific military museum in a small town that none of them knew about and they were amazed. Then it was another 1/2 to the final destination which was bar built in 1946 (no big deal by east coast standards but that's really a long time for a bar in the rust belt) that's on lake. We were there 2.5 hours; someone must have been enjoying it. We only had a 1/2 hour drive home; most of them had 1-1/2 to 2 hours to get home.

Here's a shot I just took of the house across the street, this is the only kind of color so far this year....... I'm trying to load it but it doesn't show up.

Yep, same problem here. Worst fall colors in 10 years.

I love those guys, Gary! Cool shots!

I did find a little color this weekend. We've been to the Quabbin Reservoir many times, and have seen some brilliant color. Not so brilliant this year, but given the warm temps it was not unexpected. We also enjoyed those warm temps while riding top down.

I stole this picture because I thought it was so cool. Taken in Canada.
