Thanks! Moving objects, changing light, etc. I let the camera make many of the setting choices rather than miss a shot. Enjoying the extra time with my hobby.

Our daughter and her family are in Boston right now because she is running in the Boston Marathon tomorrow.

Here is a picture of them yesterday at Fenway Park.

Patty and Lainey, those are some pretty cool shots of animals.

Patty, you sure do see some interesting animals on your rides in Colorado.

Lainey, I'm glad you are enjoying so much more time with your hobby now.

Hope your daughter has a good run, Sue. Weather prediction is for rain but not the wind and cold temps of last year.
(Edit: I don't know why I'm passing on weather forecasts. You guys are probably watching the weather closely.)

Thanks, tof. I have forgotten your name...is it Mike?

Yeah, I've been looking at weather forecasts for the Boston Marathon, too. Not as closely as our daughter, though, I'm sure.

Running is definitely not my thing.

We had considered going to Boston to watch her, but decided not to. Probably a good thing anyway. My husband just got out of the hospital, spending a week there with pneumonia.

We'll be getting text messages that track her during the marathon.

Edited to say: Oops, I see that it does say that your name is Mike.

Looks like you grand daughter takes after her dad and you grand son takes after his mom. Similar to my own kids and me and my brother.

I hadn't seen the elk herd until yesterday. It's still hanging out with over 100 head but farther south, now.

Patty, actually many people think our granddaughter, Josie (15), looks like her Mom and looks like me, too. I'll see if I can find another picture of Josie where she looks more like her Mom, and me, too.

I think that our grandson, Riley (13), does look like our daughter, and I think that he looks like Dennis, too.

With sunglasses on the resemblance in the eyes is hidden.

I think you are definitely right about that, Patty!

The eyes do make a big difference in one's looks.

It is rare to get a picture of Riley without his sunglasses. He wears them all of the time, even when there is no sun out!
