I love cardinals, which are the state bird of Ohio, along with 6 other states, too.

Here you go. A lucky shot. I was too far away, it's been cropped. I wasn't even sure if my camera made a branch disappear, but it does seem that I caught this cardinal in a cool flight mode.

Wow. Great shot. We have several cardinals that are regulars at our feeder but neither male is quite as brightly colored as yours, Lainey.

Out today to photograph Colorado's high country only to be turned back by road construction. Here's a photo taken while on the return trip.

Hanging around the river on another afternoon in retirement. My reward? The egret is back. Just one today. It was windy and having a bad "hair" day. I've never seen one look like this. Saw frogs today too!




What cool eyes they have!
