^7-1-2025. I was sitting with my feet on the top step of my spa when I saw the shadows my plants cast from my next-door neighbor's unnecessary lights.

Patty you need to rent some stage/concert lighting " for security purposes" and aim towards your neighbor.

 

Maybe this is why they do it.

My nephew and his wife are on "vacation" in Ocean City, MD. Dance competitions (nationals) for the great niece. My nephew and his son (age 6) attend the dances then they get to leave to hit the arcade, the beach, mini golf, whatever. His wife, meanwhile, is with the daughter. Lots of waiting around for results/awards. More waiting and schedule uncertainty as they don't know if they will get a "call back" for the great niece to repeat some dances for further competition. Dance will occupy some of their time just about every day for almost the entire week. Not my idea of a vacation. I guess they knew this getting into competitive dance. It's a lot.

I told my nephew's wife she deserves a gold star for this. I could not see myself involved in this had I had a daughter. Too all consuming and way too much money that wasn't in my budget.

 

Today's parents live their entire lives around their kids.

 

She looks like that wonderful age right before the hormone monsters hit.
