Boy am I glad we bought the 2016 CR-V touring. We have about 38,000 miles with no problems what so ever. Was kicking myself for not waiting for the 2017 but now I am glad we got the 16. The 2010 Accord V-6 has almost 190,000 and has been very reliable as my other Hondas have been.

Update: I published my story on both CR-V web sites as well as here and also on Consumer Reports. The owner from the Wyoming story wrote today to tell me he has sold his CR-V due to the severe lack of heat, severe oil dilution, blatant Honda dealer disregard and Honda Motor Corp indifference. Frankly, I don't know how Honda can think they can put out such bad product without it catching up with them.

So, where do you stand on the possibility of selling/moving on?

If we lose cabin heat after the Fix I will sell it and you will never see me in another Honda dealership. If the Fix doesn't screw up our heat I'll expect Honda to give me free oil changes every time the level nears 0.75" above full. Otherwise I will sell it. I may just sell on principal after reading hundreds of owner's stories. For example, one was an owner who has driven nothing but Honda's for 37 years saying he will never buy another. Another was an owner who has owned 11 and he said he is done with Honda.

Certainly takes the fun out of new car ownership.

It's Donna's car and actually she is still enjoying it. If we don't lift the hood, all is good. Like the dealership asked, has it been stalling, has the engine come on, if not, why worry?

I am not sure you will find anything else that is any better. My niece just had a Jeep that spend more time in the shop than on the road. They got a lemon law settlement out of it. My sons KIA is one of the batch that randomly catches fire. My old Ranger truck had an air bag recall but Ford doesn't have any to replace them. etc, etc, etc.

Dave, you know they all have problems and they are all slow to fix them.

Good luck!

Perhaps, No manufacture is perfect, I know that. Almost everyone I read about has gone to Toyota.

Thank you, Dave. My honey's mom, Virgie, bought a new 2018 CR-V a few weeks ago. Lucky for her she lives in Fountain Valley, CA, close to the beach, so she'll never have the heater issue.
