Default One of those days...

Couldn't fall asleep until midnight.
Woke up at 5:00 am, couldn't fall back to sleep.
Decided to go to the dry cleaner before work and hit a pot hole...hard...on the way over.
Get to the dry cleaner and they are not open yet.
Wait till opening time, go back to the door of the dry cleaner and they are still "closed." Guy inside yells "10 more minutes."
Now I'm going to miss my train so I drive away and my car tells me my right rear tire is low on air. (Remember that pot hole??)
Drive back home (miss my train) and fill the tire with air.
Drive to the train station and the tire is losing air again.
Drive to the local tire shop and they don't have the tire I need.
Call Town Fair Tire and they don't have the tire I need.
Drive to the dealership and they have the tire... for $300!
Fine how long will it be? 2 hours. Ok, I'll leave it and go to work, Barbara agrees to pick me up and drive me to the station. (Thank you Honey!)
Arrive at the station, the train is at the track, I run up the stairs, across the overpass and down the stairs on the other side to watch the train pull away.
Next train is an hour later.
After 1 hour wait, I get on the next train, and the shop calls my cell phone to say my car is ready! (Of course it is.)
Get to the office and try to get caught up. Finish a long letter and now I'm late for a lunch meeting.
Run to the meeting and there is no lunch left, just a long boring meeting.
Back to work and find out a case is not going to settle and I'll have to go to the west coast to try it in three weeks.
Dragged myself home, got my car, Drove home, ate a bowl of soup, ran on the treadmill, and stayed up to watch the Red Sox because its a pretty good game
The Red Sox lose in the 9th inning-walk off homer for Chicago!
At least the Bruins won and I saw that. (Thanks Bruins.)
I know I'm still luckier than 99% of the people in the world. I just want to complain.

Gota look at the good side, lots of running around, no lunch, up late . . . you'll be down a pound or two. Don't drink a lot of water or you'll have other problems.

Look on the positive side Bill. No lunch means no weight gain. Maybe even 1/10 of a pound loss.

Bill just yesterday I was so thankful/appreciative for my now most relaxing mornings/schedule. Getting ready for the Y, (which I look forward to way more than I did work) at my leisure, no rushing around, no real commitments. Retirement IS a beautiful thing. Hang in there. Your summer off is coming........hopefully summer IS coming too.

Sounds like a day in the life of the Steve Martin character from Planes Trains and Automobiles!
